Food For Thought

We’re interested in knowing what you read, think about, watch, and
listen to. This is a chance to share your thoughts with thousands of
Recipe du Jour readers, the same Good Neighbors who have shared their
favorite recipes with you over the years. Think of it as a conversation
with a friend over the backyard fence about the book you just finished,
the story you can’t forget, your favorite movie or television episode or

Just finished reading The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch & Jeffrey Zaslow.
Many of you may already know the story of Randy who was a professor at
Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh and was dying from Pancreatic cancer. I
was afraid that this book might be depressing but the kindle version was
on sale at Amazon so I decided to chance it. If you’re looking for an
uplifting, joyous and yes, even funny book, this will exceed your
expectations. I was amazed that I found myself laughing while reading
certain parts. This is, by far, one of the best books I have read in a
long time. If more of us could live our lives like Randy, what a
wonderful world this would be.
