After talking with Michelle and Josh last night, it seems there is a
need for someone to help with sound this year. I am a sound engineer and
designer by profession and can do it. I had not previously offered my
services since I thought our camp already had several sound people
onboard (last year's crew did a great job without me) and I didn't want
to step on toes.
Nicholas, can you email me whatever system documentation exists
(equipment manifest, etc.) so I know what I will be assembling on the
playa?
As I live in Connecticut, it will be difficult for me to be involved in
much (or any) of the physical preproduction - but I can be counted on to
make it happen on the playa. I am more than happy to set up the system,
periodically check on it, and trouble shoot (should that become
necessary)... but I would rather not have to babysit the gear 24/7 once
it gets going - I hope there are others who can help with this.
