You didn't put your email address down in the post. Also it would be nice to

Subject: [RESOGUIT-L] Workshops in South Central US

We have been working in the schools with the BITS
program and have seveal students interested in playing
Bluegrass music. We promote the Resophonic guitar in
all our shows and have generated some interest in this
age group for learning to play this instrument. We
would like to bring in some well known Reso artist to
do workshops for the kids, but it would also be a good
opportunity for the pickers in this area to get some
tips as well. How many of you in the South Central
part of the US would be interested.
We are talking about Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri,
Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Kansas. If you live
in these states would you contact me off list if you
are inteseted. I would like to be able to keep you
updated on the progress if any of you think it is a
good idea.
Any of you Workshop Artist that would be intereseted
in doing one of the programs, please contact me. I
would like to cover all ability levels, so it would be
something for everyone. Please contact me off list,
unless Howard says it is ok on list. I don't want to
upset the flow of Reso information promoting these
workshops. But I do think it is important that we get
in the schools and present our music and the
Resophonic Guitar. They do not know what this
instrument sound like and have never seen one in most
cases. The schools are hungry for a program like the
BITS program. You should try this in your area. If I
can help you to get it organized, I will tell you what
we are doing and it is working. How will they know
lest they hear, how will they hear if we don't go to
where they are and present the music to them.
Enough of being on my soap box.
