star
review.
The novel is the story of a college professor who stumbles on
information that belongs to a highly intelligent secret society of
African American women. They use all of their power, influence, and
skills to force him to cooperate and return the information by
destroying his life in several ways. He fights back by using his wits
and some covert sources to overcome their obstacles. It is a fast
paced, intelligent, and entertaining novel that weaves together the
entanglements of one man and a society of gifted women into a story of
menace and surprise.
