PUBLIC NOTICE
CALIFORNIA STATE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the State Park and Recreation Commission,
pursuant to authority contained in Sections 539, 5002.3, 5019.50,
5080.03, 5080.20, et al of the Public Resources Code, Section 11120 et
seq. of the Government Code, and pursuant to law, will meet on Friday,
May 14, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. in the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building,
1351 Maple Ave., Santa Rosa, California. The meeting facility is
wheelchair accessible.
Agenda items include consideration and action on the Department of
Parks and Recreation's recommendation for approval of the Preliminary
General Plans and Environmental Impact Reports (EIR) for both Sugarloaf
Ridge State Park and Tomales Bay State Park. The agenda will also
include discussion of the establishment and meetings of Commission
committees.
The Preliminary General Plan/EIR for Sugarloaf Ridge State Park is
available for review at these locations: State Parks Diablo Vista
District/Silverado Sector Office, 363 3rd Street West, Sonoma; Rincon
Valley Regional Library, 6959 Montecito Blvd., Santa Rosa; Sonoma County
Central Library, 3rd & E St., Santa Rosa.
The Preliminary General Plan/EIR for Tomales Bay State Park is
available for review at these locations: State Parks Marin Sector Office
at Olompali State Historic Park, 8901 Redwood Hwy, Novato; State Parks
Northern Service Center, One Capitol Mall, Suite 410, Sacramento; Marin
County Civic Center Library, 3501 Civic Center Dr., San Rafael; Point
Reyes Station Library, 11431 State Route 1, Point Reyes Station;
Inverness Library, 15 Park Ave., Inverness.
The Preliminary General Plans and EIRs for both Sugarloaf Ridge State
Park and Tomales Bay State Park are also available on the Internet at

NOTICE IS GIVEN that any person may file a statement regarding hearing
items by writing to the following address or by presenting oral or
written statements at the hearing at 10:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as
the matter may be heard. Inquiries or requests for information should be

State Park and Recreation Commission, Box 942896, Sacramento, CA
94296-0001. California State Parks does not discriminate against

NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that the Commission plans to tour various sites in
Sugarloaf Ridge State Park on May 13, 2004. The tour will begin at 12:30
p.m. at the Kenwood Fire Station, 9045 Sonoma Highway, Kenwood,
California. No public testimony will be heard and no action will be
taken by the Commission during this tour.
