I've had this request from Martin Krieg hoping to find a cyclist to carry
documents from Santa Barbara to San Luis Obispo on July 20th afternoon,
as described below. If you can help Martin, contact him directly; if you
know of other cyclists who might want a century ride, please forward this.

Hi Ralph!!
Glad to hear you survived Ft Worth. And it was fun talking to you a
bit just now. As per the following, we will be in Santa Barbara on
7/20 and yet the riders we long had on our schedule for your
Southwest part of the relay, fell ill. So like last year we need
someone to move the NBG Day proclamation to SLO. Can U help??

Hi Mayor Marty and Della!!
I had wanted to wait to send you this until we had a rider that
could bring the LA NBG Day proclamation to you and pick up yours.
And now that that position is filled, here is our request for you:
As per the Santa Barbara position at our schedule at
http://www.bikeroute.com/NationalMayorsRide2005 , on Wednesday, July
20, National Bicycle Greenway (NBG) Scout cyclists, will be biking
from Los Angeles City Hall to your City Hall and then to four more
cities and then San Francisco as a part of our 4th Annual National
Mayors' Ride. They are participating in a relay that will have left
all four corners of the United States and visited 52 major US cities
before it ends here in the Golden Gate city on July 31. The purpose
of the ride is to call attention to the National Bicycle Greenway's
mission to create safe cycling conditions to and from cities as well
as within them.
As such then, can we ask you Mayor Marti be at your City Hall at
12-noon or whatever time is convenient for five to ten minutes to
present the below citation to our riders?
In terms of a proclamation can we ask you to create one similar to
this beautiful one that was created for us last year
<http://www.bikeroute.com/NationalMayorsRide2004/SantaBarbara/SBarbara.html>?
Here are some proclamations from 2005:
