We would love to see you TONIGHT! for COAST's monthly Happy Hour! There is
much to discuss. On July 20th at 3pm the City of Santa Barbara is set to
hold a joint meeting of the City Council, Planning Commission,
Transportation & Circulation Committee, and Downtown Parking Committee
regarding funding for transit. The next day at the SBCAG board meeting
(9am) the board will be presented with the draft LOSSAN Corridor Strategic
Plan which contains plans for improvements to our rail corridor. Come help
us dive into the issues!!!
Relax after work with us and and enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres (5-6pm)
and a refreshing no-host bar at the El Paseo Restaurant in Downtown Santa
Barbara.

The Coalition for Sustainable Transportation (COAST) is a countywide
non-profit organization promoting well-planned communities that encourage
walking, bicycling and transit for access to all daily needs. COAST has been
active in the effort to expand transit on the Southcoast and initiate new
bus service in the North County and has recently launched
CoastalRailNow.org, an effort to link Santa Barbara and Ventura with
commuter rail. COAST coordinates Santa Barbara's Safe Routes to School
program which helps communities make it safe, convenient and fun for
children to get healthy physical activity by walking or bicycling to school.
