The UC Davis Medical Center is sending a team to ride in the Race Across
America (RAAM) on June 21-29. I am going with them as a crew
member/massage therapist. The team is in need of a bike mechanic - someone
who has enough tools and know-how to make general repairs, etc. So far
they have been unable to get someone from any of the local bike shops. Would
any one of you be available for the trip? We leave for San
Diego on 6/19, follow the team of 8 racers (including Eric Heiden) along
the 3,000+ mile route to Atlantic City, and return on 6/30. There's a big
banquet/party in San Diego before the start and another one in Atlantic
City on the 29th. All expenses would be paid, including travel, hotel and
food. Travel to SD would be with the caravan, and return is either with
the caravan or flying.
