| | I have a bicycle with alex rims on it that came with a set of 700-35c
tires.
My question is, when I want new tires, can I choose a more narrow tire
like
700-32 or thicker like 37??
if so how narrow and how thick tires do you think the rims are
compatible
with?

That depends on, how wide the rim is. Alex is just the brand name, not
the model. That sais, it is often possible to fit a wide variety of
tires on a rim. And you are only talking about going one size up or
down. I can't imagine, that will be a problem. But there have been a
fashion of fitting quite wide tires on narrow rims. If that is the case
on your bike, it will probably not be a good idea, if you put on an
even wider tyre.
