Subject: FREE Webinar: Competition at Altitude Webinar
Hello all Collegiate Cyclists,
I’ve teamed up with the USA Cycling Coaching Education Department to provide an exceptional opportunity for any collegiate member, especially those attending the 2008 USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championship in Ft. Collins, where the city elevation is 5003 ft.
As a collegiate member you are eligible to attend the Competition at Altitude webinar that will be held April 9 at 4:30pm MDT and last one hour. The Webinar is presented by Andy Subudhi, Ph.D. and will review the literature and effects of going from sea level to moderate altitude for endurance competition. Dr. Subudhi will offer recommendations for athletes competing at altitude. Dr. Subudhi is a assistant professor of exercise science at the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs, has been involved in many altitude related studies, and also a member of the USA Cycling coaching education faculty.
To take advantage of this offer exclusive for Collegiate members, contact me directly at dmat-@usacycling.org with your complete name and USAC license (***for verification) and then I can provide you a free log-in.
Please note that you can obtain one log-in and your entire team can take part in the webinar from one phone/computer in a conference setting. Thus each member doesn’t necessarily need a password.
For anyone that is not a collegiate member but would like to join, you can register here. https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/802351098
You may ask exactly what is a webinar….well it is a presentation given usually on Powerpoint that you view on your computer where you have interactive chat and question asking ability online while dialing into a conference call to hear the presentation from the host.
Thanks,
Daniel Matheny
