Conference Championships Update

Hello,
We're looking forward to hosting all of you in Wichita Falls this
weekend for the SCCCC road championships.
Just a quick reminder about a few things:
o Registration will be open in the student center on campus (3410 Taft
Blvd., Wichita Falls TX 76308) from 6-8 p.m. on Friday night.
o I think it will be much easier for everyone if teams just e-mail me
(gary.ach-@mwsu.edu) a list of your riders who will be racing.
Please note the category your riders will be racing and their
season-long race number. Please send one e-mail per team. I must receive
those e-mails no later than 4 p.m. on Friday. I'll reply ASAP so you
know it was received. If you can get your rider list in earlier than the
deadline, I'd sure appreciate it. I'll collect entry fee money after the
road race and before the time trial.
o Team time trial teams should be named at the same time. If you need
to, you can make changes up until right after the road race on Saturday
morning, but please give me a tentative list when you register.
Remember, riders can "race up" in the team time trial. (For instance, a
Cat. C can race on a B team). Schools also can enter a second team in a
category, but only the first one counts for points; the second team can
move another school's team down a place, though.
o All riders must fill out and sign a USA Cycling standard release when
they arrive at the road race. This must be done before the start. We'll
have forms and pens out at the road race, but if you want to save
yourself some time, you can fill out the release ahead of time. Matt
Reynolds asks that you write your season-long number on the top of the
form. Here's a link to the standard release. You can fill in all of the

o Here is a link to the race flyer. Directions from Wichita Falls to all
of the race starts are on the third page. Make sure you allow adequate
time to get out to the road race course. Also, when you get to the
course, there will be plenty of parking along the sides of the road.
Please park along the road that approaches the course and not *on* the
course.

o Awards for the individual events and also season-long events will be
presented after the criteriums on Sunday. We'll have pizza while you
wait for results.
