Sorry everybody,
Rhonda wants to run out here at MTRP after the ride so she requested that we
leave from our house at 7, head North on Kearny Villa to Pomerado Road,
Climb Pomerado and then do some loop back. That's all I know right now.
Should be about 40...
Hope you can make it. Sorry 'bout the confusion. If you can join us we'll be
leaving from 4503 Calle de Vida in Tierrasanta. (Clairmont Mesa Blvd. to
Seda. Left on Seda. Left on Calle de Vida).

I concur (love that word!), Rhonda...I'd rather do that route too–much more
scenic and fewer exhaust fumes to breathe. I'll pass this on to Pete, Rick
and Sabine if they want to jump in. If they prefer another route, we can
always try again another week.
We will meet you at FI at 7 with our road bikes ready to roll. Dan is going
too, right? Any body else? I'll cc Carrie. Glad you two had a nice swim.
It's been awhile since I've been much of a swimmer but I do enjoy it once in
awhile, especially when the water isn't shockingly freezing. Maybe you two
will inspire me to "get my feet wet" again!
See you tomorrow. It will be fun!

Hey Julie,
The 52 loop sounds boring ;( I think the Fiesta Island ride sounds great.
We can be ready to ride at 0700 climb Soledad and down Torrey and to the 52
and back. I think that is ~45 miles or so. This is not a hilly ride so you
and Simon should be fine. If you are feeling tired just turn aroundand head
to Fiesta. I am game for the Great Western Loop too. I don't ride 100 miles
a week and I can ride the Great Western without difficulties (it's the MB
riding that helps alot!!!) Julie don't worry about me I am planning to run
after the ride so if we don't do a long ride I will run long :)
By the way Carrie and I had a blast swimming at the Cove. She tells me you
are the swimmer of the bunch!!

Hi Rhonda
This is what Pete (RAAM Guy) has to say. If the 52 loop sounds uninspiring,
how about we ride from Fiesta Island up Mt. Soledad & around? Simon & I are
looking for about 35-40 miles. Perhaps Rhonda wants something more intense
though. Is there a route that would suit us all?
As for time, I'm thinking meet at 7, taking off no later than 7:15. Does
that work for everybody?
J.
P.S. Pete, I seem to get duplicates of your e-mails : )

is that ready to leave you house by 7am or be on the bikes by 7am?
Rick is thinking great western.... I don't know how much road riding you
two have been doing, if your averaging over 100 miles a week on the road, i
might say ok, about doing the great western. I just don't want you two to
be miserable.
Sabine and I might be able to join on an easier ride as Sabine is nursing an
injury. She too will be doing Tucson. As will I.
Petey.
PS
my suggestion is to do the 52 loop two or three times; or make a variation
of it

Julie,
Here are a few ideas:

Also, go to www.mapmyride.com and look up San Diego for more rides.
As of now there is a good chance if I do an early start tomorrow. I would
prefer the Great Western Loop if any one was asking.

Hi Guys,
We are planning an early morning (for us!) road ride Sunday with
Rhonda, her husband Dan and a couple other folks. Not sure where
we're going yet, but it will be somewhere that Simon and I can bail
out of after 35 or 40.
Does that sync with your plans at all? If so, what route were you
thinking?
I believe we're going to try to be ready to ride at 7...
Jules
