Subject: Ride to celebrate Chris Robertson Sunday 11/24/02

This Sunday, November 17, will be the 2nd anniversary
of the death of our friend Chris Robertson. It's been
a long 2 years, and for his family and friends, it's
still hard to believe we won't see his cheery face
again in this life.

Chris' family would like to have a celebration in his
honor. There is a tradition in the bike messenger
community (of which Chris was proud to be a member) of
honoring fallen comrades. Chris' family wishes to
celebrate this tradition. There will be a memorial
ride for Chris, meeting one week after the
anniversary. It will be held on Sunday 11/24/02 at
6PM. This date is the best day for the family, who are
coming from out of state.

We'll meet at South Park in San Francisco (between 2nd
& 3rd Sts., and Bryant & Brannan). We'll bring Chris'
bike to South Park for a gathering and for folks to
say a few words about Chris, before riding on to
Mission Rock, and sending the bike into the bay at the
pier.

After that, Chris' family & friends invite you to join
them at Zeitgeist in the Mission (one of Chris'
favorite hangouts, at 199 Valencia Street) to raise a
toast in his memory and swap stories.

And there's some good stories, believe me.

Thanks,
JD
