Hello from a VERY HOT Indiana.... Summer is clearly in full force here.
In this posting, I'd like to share with you an article that has been
written by George Hathaway. In it he refers to the Thomas Friedman book,
"The World is Flat" and the implications for leadership. It's the kind
of thing that I find most intruiging.
I hope you are finding ways to "beat the heat" where ever you are.
Be well.... /jeff

Leadership In a Flat World
By George Hathaway
Leadership in a flat world is more than just a transition to the 21st
century. It is not a minor modification of what we learned in 1999. It
is different. That is the message that Tom Friedman is sending, loud and
clear, in his recent book, The World is Flat (1). It is not business as
usual, and the flat world is going to require that we do things
differently in order to succeed. Here we will examine what created the
flat world, and discuss what it means, not just for leaders, but for
those who are tasked with developing those leaders.
