The IHSR club has been adding home tracks at a rapid rate. We share info on race managment systems, power supplies, best way to set up lap timers, paint for surfaces and so forth.
One power supply that does really well for 4 lane racing is the 20amp Pyramid 5-20volt power supply. I got mine from some supply outfit in NYC. Shipping was fairly quick and the price is excellent. We have this power supply on several tracks and it is working well. They also make a bigger version if you want commercial power.
Maybe a Google can find that supplier.

Years ago, there were some good variable voltage power supplies mentioned by people on this list. I've long since forgotten what they were....
