For fans of the 1958 Allied Artists film "Snowfire," starring members of the McGowan family and a wonderful part-Arab stallion called King Cotton. Many people have fond memories of watching this film on Sunday afternoon TV matinees such as WGN's Family Classics. The story of a psychically gifted young girl and her communion with a legendary wild stallion may never be released on VHS or DVD, but a single copy exists in a warehouse in Chicago and is occasionally rented (for $150 per showing) by a Snowfire revival group near there. |
