Hey Gig I am coming down to Brownsville around Christmas, staying till 10th
of January, does it rain there all the time like it is raining in Houston?
Should I bring my rubber boots? Garry.

Solar and Independent Living Mailing List
From the excesses from the summer heat, this has now become a month of
rain... the TV weather people forecasted an 80% chance of rain today, and a
100% and it has been raining all day today... it started yesterday,
(Wednesday) with a sprinkle to a light rain, and today there has been light
rain to showers all day..... tomorrow will be the heavy rain... My water
tank is full.... maybe soon, I will have a second tank as an extra backup
for next summers drought...
By the way, it is too dark to take pictures of the Costco solar panel cell
phone charger, but I hope to take pictures and post them to this site, or to
a web page location... the idea was really handy... and... I found the
exact matching auto electrical plug with a female cigarette outlet at the
local O'Rileys auto supply store, and this automotive plug with a female
cigarette lighter outlet only cost me about $3.50...
The plug and socket is called a 'Auxillary 12V Power Port', and, it has the
name on the back of the package it has Custom Accessories, Inc. Niles Il.
(Illinois?), zip 60714... The the package says Made In China... There is
also a line that says, 7 amp Maximum... and their web page address is
http://www.causa.com/store/catalog.asp?item=3215
The plug was designed as an Auxillary Power Port for a trailer hookup which
could produce an outlet for external trailer lighting... but it was simple
and handy to use with the matching automotive plug on the Costco PV panel
for Cell Phone Charging... I have sent an image as a attachment and it will
be at the very bottom of this email... but, if it doesn't get through, I
will post more pictures on a web page to see how it all hooks together after
the rain has ended...
Gig
