I am coming down to Brownsville around Christmas, staying till 10th of January, does it rain there all the time like it is raining in Houston? Should I bring my rubber boots?

It doesn't rain in the Brownsville area very often.... so, leave you rain gear at home... it will probably warm, too... Houston, is another story.
What's happening now, in an hour or less, a very heavy rain will be crossing the Houston area... there are strong winds involved... there will be a lot more rain tomorrow... the weather forecasters have predicted a 100% chance of rain, and that will be some heavy rain storms, I think... so I am battening down the hatches right now...
