| | as for the AC question, I don't know where the evaporator is
located in the sammi (never seen one with AC!). I'm trying to
imagine where in the heater box they might have stashed it,
but I'm coming up blank.

If I understand the system correctly, the evaporator takes the place of
what we call the "storage tray" over the passengers feet.
If you think you need a new one of these, get in touch with me. I gots
one for ya.
