This is the mailing list for the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC). SVBC is a bicycle advocacy organization representing the interests of cyclists in Silicon Valley and beyond. Our bimonthly newsletter, the SPINNING CRANK, keeps our members informed.
The Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition believes local geography and climate conspire to make the urban and suburban environments of the South Bay and Peninsula ideal for travel by bicycle. Bicycling is an antidote to the Bay Area's traffic problems: congestion, street accidents, noise and air pollution.
Bicycling sets a worldwide example of a clean, quiet, non-polluting, affordable, human-scale form of transportation. A significant increase in cycling for transportation is a vision which SVBC invites all Bay Area Residents to share. |
