I'm not 100% certain when Me'Shell's album is coming out but I do recall
recently reading a less than stellar review (courtesy of Rolling Stone
mag so take that however you want) about two weeks ago. (It wasn't in
the October 29th edition though; maybe in the one prior)! Either way,
I've been waiting for her to release something for quite some time so
I'll definitely check it out.
And thanks to all that suggested "Idle Warship"! LOVIN' it!!

Nicole,
Yup. I'm still here. Have you been to the gym lately? Me and my wife
just had another little boy so I haven't been making it over there much.
Do you know when Me'Shell's next record comes out? It sounds to me like
she's been injecting a lot of early 80's college rock (The Cure and
stuff like that) and mixing it in with her usual flavors. I really liked
the last record. Her dub tunes are excellent.
I've never even heard of Anna Ternheim or St. Vincent! Cool, thanks!

Hi Mack (still in STL?) -
here are some artists/songs i've been living on while patiently
awaiting Ms. E's next release.
Anna Ternheim - what have i done
Me'Shell NdegeOcello - bright shiny morning
St Vincent - laughing with a mouth full of blood
Grizzly Bear - ready, able
I second the albums already mentioned - Fever Ray, Phoenix,
Silver Sun Pickups.

Every now and then I feel the need to check and see if the list
is still alive since no one seems to use it any more. I used to love
getting emails from all of you characters (I say that lovingly.)
Besides Esthero and her brother's presence, I liked everyone's music
recommendations. While I impatiently wait for Esthero's and D'Angelo's
and Sade's next release, I thought I'd ask what everyone else is doing
to cope with her absence, (besides listening to Half A World Away for
the buhzillionth time.) I doubt this will start any sort of rebirth of
the list but here's a snapshot of what I've been listening to over the
last several months:
Electric Wire Hustle. These guys kind of fill the Lewis Taylor
void (since he decided to retire). From New Zealand.
