Money for your team & opportunity to help others  Scott Coady
 Nov 05, 2007 17:22 PST
Dear Collegiate Cyclists,

My name is Scott Coady. In 2003 I made a little movie called The Tour Baby!
about my trip to the 2000 Tour de France and ended up raising over $250,000
for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and other cycling related causes.
This January and February I will be visiting 21 college campuses in 23 days
to raise $500,000 for the Davis Phinney Foundation (support for Parkinson's
Disease survivors) and Collegiate Cycling in a grand tour we call – *The
Collegiate Tour Baby!*

The Collegiate Tour Baby is not a bike race, it is a way for you and your
Collegiate Cycling team to raise some money for two great causes – your
college cycling team, and the Davis Phinney Foundation. I will be hosting
each and every stop on the Tour, showing my newest film – *Tour Baby
Deux!*(about my adventures following the 2005 Tour de France) and
hosting your
silent auction, raffle and party.

We already have 12 of the 21 colleges lined up and *still have opportunities
for nine more* college cycling teams or cyclists who want to partner with a
college cycling team. We are particularly interested in these cities:
Greenville SC, Ashville NC, Washington DC, New York City or Philadelphia,
Minneapolis or Saint Paul MN, Portland OR, Palo Alto CA, Sacramento CA, San
Louis Obisbo CA, Santa Barbara CA. If you are interested in helping to
organize a stop on the tour at one of these cities, please send me an email
and I will send you all the details or, you can download all the information
you need by visiting:

http://www.collegiatetourbaby.com/hosting.html

You can see up to the minute information on which schools have signed up
already and the status of your bid to host a stage by clicking here:

Note: If you want to get your school involved, but you are not located in
the exact area we have on our planned route, give Daniel Matheny a call
anyway and check it out. After all, it is just a planned route, it is not
final until it is final.

Oh, did I mention, the College Sports Television (a division of CBS) is
interested in covering the Collegiate Tour Baby? We could be showing up
with a camera crew!

This is going to be fun!

Scott
