3 days! The Festivale Italiano Gran Fondo bike ride! And a bonus prize!  orob-@aol.com

This coming Sunday, November 8th is going to be a beautiful day for our "Gran Fondo" (Italian for "The Big Ride") cycling event

as part of the new! FESTIVALE
ITALIANO! in downtown Greensboro.

AND cycles de ORO will award a special bonus prize for the "Most Italian" bike and rider! (This should be fun!)



Here are the basics:
Registration opens at 9 AM

62 mile road ride starts promptly at 10 AM

15 & 30 mile road rides start promptly at 11 AM



Entry fee is only $20 in advance (Cheap!), $25 on the day of the event.

Please invite your family and friends to meet you at the
festival! We have games, entertainment, food, drink, music - - - and
lots of fun planned from noon until 6 PM.













The start/finish line will be at the corner of South Elm and Washington Streets.













You may park for free in the News & Record parking lot on the corner of Davie and Washington (just one block away).













Coffee and snacks will be available at the registration area - which is the parking area beside Cheesecakes by Alex.

All the turns are freshly painted (finished today!)














The first 125 entries will receive a custom mussette bag (a classy canvas shoulder bag like they use in the Giro d'Italia!) at the end of your ride with
water, fruit and a festival beverage coupon (beer, wine, italian
soda) - compliments of 3 dog productions, Northwest Mutual, and cycles
de ORO All entries will be eligible for Door Prizes of cycling goodies from cycles de ORO...



As with all responsible rides, certified helmets are required and minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Riding in single file is required wherever motorized traffic is likely.
