Are you ready to get in shape for this summer's
cycling season? Does the idea of riding 50-75 miles
per day on lonely central california roads sound
appealing to you?
Join us for a 3 day trip from San Jose to San Luis
Obispo.
We will meeting in San Jose/Morgan Hill on either
Friday night (23rd of May) or Saturday Morning. The
first day will take us through the farming country
near Morgan Hill and Hollister to a campground at the
Pinnacles National Monument. We will camp in a group
camp site, and arrange transportation for everybody's
gear. The next day is a longer strech of nearly empty
road. We end up in a small town called San Miguel
where we can visit one of the lesser known missions
along the Camino Real. (total distance 75-80 miles) We
will spend this night in a local 'motel'. There will
be a 'sag wag' available to help anybody that can't
manage the full distance. The final day we will cross
over the Santa Lucia mountains into San Luis Obispo.
(Total 45 miles) We take the Amtrak back to San Jose
that afternoon.
Total Cost per person is approx. $150 plus Amtrak
(est. $40 per person)

We will be organizing a few 'pre-rides' on the
weekends leading up to the trip. If you are interested
in going we strongly recommmend that you participate
in one of our 'pre-rides' to get to know the group and
riding speed/style.
