Around Mount Diablo/Morgan Territory Ride - Sunday 18 May

Hey All
We are also scheduling another warm up ride before the
San Luis Obispo trip. The day ride will be around
Mount Diablo on Sunday May 18th.
Even if you cant make the San Luis Obispo trip
feel free to join us!
Meet at Pleasant Hill BART at 9:30 on Sunday.
We will do a 55 mile loop around Mt. Diablo. The
route takes us via the Canal trail to Shell Ridge and
then over Ygnacio Valley to Clayton. We then head for
Morgan Territory (elevation at the top is 2000) and
down the hill to Camino Tassajero. The ride takes us
over quiet country roads back to Danville where we
pick up the Iron Horse Bike trail for the last 10
miles back to Walnut Creek.
It should take us 5- 6 hours depending upon how many
breaks we take. Bring a lunch that you can eat at the
top of the hill.
After the ride we'll head back to 1178 Briarwood,
Walnut Creek (a few minutes walk from Pleasant Hill
BART) for barbeque and hot tub and briefing for the
San Luis Obispo trip.
