Theres a link here to some info on my dog food suppliers website about this
http://www.burnspet.co.uk/dog/dh_coprophagia.asp
Our Westie friend is inclined to do this too, so all poop is cleared up as fast as it is produced so the Westie doesn't get the chance.
The article says it is a sign of a depraved appetite - I'm not sure what one of those is, but I think my TT has it too, she ate a watch strap the other day, fortunately she nibbled it off so that just the buckle and watch was left uneaten!

TT

My housemates tell me Tashi (15 mos) has eaten some pooh in the back
yard, though I haven't seen him do it. They keep insisting he might be
mental.
I've read that it can be a sign that he's hungry and doesn't
have access to his food. I can't free feed because of housemate's dogs.
Or it could be some other nutritional reason. Or he could be bored or
upset.

One time, I'm told he brought a dried piece into the house and
was crunching on it like a stick. It DEFINITELY got my (new) housemate's
attention when she went to put it back outside.

What say ya'll?
Anyone else have similar TT experiences?

/Gwen (please don't let my dog be mentally unstable)
Tashi (got your attention didn't it?! mwah ha ha ha...)
