Your doing good works is not profitable to God, your doing good works is profitable to man. When you do good works, it is to glorify God here on the earth. Laziness does not glorify God. When God has assigned you to something, you should have zeal towards that fulfillment to God. If God assigned you to it, then the assignment is between you and God; and in this God is responsible for promoting you, fulfilling you, and fulfilling His Love in your life. And when you are disobedient, you are accountable to God.
Remember the Prophets:
They were not moved by people, they moved according to the word of God which is the Will of God!
Isaiah wasn't moved! - (Who was Isaiah?) The prophet criticized the vanity and meaninglessness of religion's pride. He demanded social and religious righteousness be practiced in humility and faith. He strongly affirmed God's plans that would not lack fulfillment. His warnings were discounted by the Judeans and he ordered that his "testimony" and "teaching" be bound and sealed - and committed them to his disciples until history proved his words true. (Isaiah 8:16-18)
