In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, many of us in the Trenchless Technology
industry have wondered how we can reach out and help those affected. We
have lots of equipment that is exactly what the agencies impacted by the
hurricane and the non-profit relief agencies need. Many of us are willing
to loan or donate our services or items, or at least offer them at
break-even cost, just to be of help. But how do you offer your help to
those who need it?
BidOcean has launched a website to help connect those in need with the
items that the industry has available to help.
Please check out Aid America...
"Aid America is a FREE portal for donors to offer goods and services to
government agencies and non-profit organizations in need.
The recent disaster caused by hurricane Katrina made it apparent that
federal and state agencies are not always able to respond in a timely and
effective manner to crisis and that lives can be saved by citizens taking
action.
This software system was created by Bid Ocean, Inc. as a way to directly
connect contractors, vendors, manufacturers and skilled individuals to
local government agencies and community organizations to provide required
services, equipment, goods and tools.
This site is operated as a free data service. We do not accept donations of
any kind."
