Dear All,
It is interesting, that Russian astronomical www-site on Tunguska
www.tunguska.ru just has stopped its on-line/internet poll on "what do
you think Tunguska was?" (one vote from one internet IP-address).
Its results are rather remarkable. Here are the options and persentage
of votes:
1. a meteorite - 27.2%
2. a comet - 31.2%
3. nuclear (in Russia it traditionally means "alien spaceship")- 8.4%
4. Another - 33.2%
Please, pay attention, that a rather low persentage for "alien
spaceship" means that most of the voters were
science-oriented/associated.
The owner of the www-site recognized at the www-site forum that he is
surprised that meteorite/comet idea is not very popular... (I admit that
it played some role why the poll was stopped...)
Best,
Andrei
