LOL!? The mystery remains.
Best, back at you.

A huge swarm of mosquitos went KABOOM at Tunguska? I hadn't heard about
that theory. Would that put mosquito pieces in the mesosphere, causing
'bright nights'? I am grinning as I write this.

Subject: [ Tunguska ] new tree data?
Hi all,
it is interesting that the Italian team claims to have tree evidence
that lake Cheko was formed during the Tunguska event. Perhaps they will
publish their data in a journal? I would like to study that
information.
It is entertaining to follow the debate between researchers claiming
impact from above and those claiming explosion from below. As far as
diamond 'impactites' being found on California's islands--do not forget
about the supervolcano at Yellowstone and the possiblity of activity
during the time when that local extinction occured ~13000 years ago. A
'mini-Vernshot' out of Yellowstone could easily have damaged the local
ecosystem, and sent diamond microparticles high up, raining down in
various places. The meteorite hypothesis is not convincing.
