Friday, February 2, 2007 ~ Weekend Edition
Good afternoon to all my freebie friends and welcome to our new
subscribers! I’m so glad to have all of you with us today. We woke up
yesterday morning to ankle deep water in the kitchen and utility room,
soaked carpets in sections of the house, and things never settled down
around here until about ten o’clock last night. Thank the good Lord we
had our missionary friends here to help us with all the work that was
involved cleaning up the mess, tearing out the old cabinets, and
everything else that needed to be done to get out the old water heater
that was originally put in the house back in the 60’s. Guess the folks
got their money’s worth out of that purchase, and in case you were
wondering, that was an old GE!
Mom is scheduled for her cardiac catheterization next week on the 7th
and my doctor appointment on Wednesday went well. My lungs are clear
now and the doctor only had a few little bones to pick with me, but
promised to leave me alone for a bit, after I told her I was sick and
tired of seeing her every week for the past couple of months…lol.
Actually, she laughed at me and understood quite well, and just told me
to say hi to mom and dad and come back in three months. Sounds like a
plan to me!
Belated Birthday Wishes are going out to “Heavenly” who celebrated her
birthday yesterday on February 1st. I hope you had a wonderful day and
your year ahead is filled with joy! Birthday wishes are also going out
to “AmericanRedhead” who will be celebrating her birthday tomorrow on
February 3rd. I hope your day is filled with fun and you have a
wonderful year ahead too!
I’m getting a little lengthy today, but I have to say this before Super
Bowl Sunday. Dilemma! Dilemma! Okay, here it is. I am so glad to see
Peyton Manning going to the Super Bowl and Tony Dungy too, but here’s my
dilemma. My hubby Steve, born and raised in Chicago, so of course we’ve
been pulling for the Bears all season. During the playoffs, a couple of
weeks ago, which personally I thought they were great, both of my teams
won, but now what? I guess for me personally as far as the teams go,
it’s a no lose situation, but now I could lose a husband. Anyone have a
muzzle I can use on Sunday?
