I just lost a one thousand dollar bet with my non cycling friend. He predicted that all the candidates that were promoted in the famous "Lee Mitchell" letter would win. At the time of the bet I laughed. It would be almost too convenient. He reminded me again of the Colin Powell testimony in front of the United Nations. My friend is 92 years young and wise to the ways of the world. He stated that there is little shame in politics.
I am excited for the new board and anxiously await attending the next board meeting. Congratulations, six for six, almost unbelievable.
I will be calling Lee Mitchell later today to see how he actually voted.
Speaking of phone calls, I was excited to read Fred's article in the current magazine encouraging people to call each other directly. That being said, I am eagerly awaiting phone calls from Nancy Guth and John Lee Ellis.
