Active? Q on name of a technique ...  Dallas Warren
 May 01, 2002 18:10 PDT
Just wondering if someone could possibly answer a query for me.

I am using a technique to solve a problem, know that there is a name for
the technique, but have no idea what it is.

I'm simulating the concentration of something within a container that is
constantly being removed and added. At each time interval an amount is
removed or added to the container, and the total concentration
recalculated. The smaller the time step used the closer it is to
reality, though the difference is only visible when you are at "large"
time steps.

Does that ring a bell with anyone on what this technique is actually
called?

Thanks for any assistance.
