My first quick responce. I'll dig up my linear algebra book and look for
more later.
1. predator prey modeling. coyote population deer population are
interdependent. Linear algebra provides a simple model where lots of deer
lead to a large coyote population that causes the deer population to go
back down. Modeled through itterations of matrices
2. evolution of stars. done by a series of shells with different
characteristics.(heat, composition, density etc.) each affects the next
shells characteristics later.
3. eigenvalues. a troop of army marching across a bridge could destroy it
unless they break step and have there footfalls landing at different times. .
