Re: Martin sorry for cycling 'terror'  sa-@ravenfamily.org

At sixish (Frood Standard Time) Andy Horton did quoth...

Martin, presenter of BBC One's Saturday Kitchen, wrote in the Mail on
Sunday
that he had intentionally forced them into a hedge as he turned a corner.

While I agree that Martin is a tosspot of the highest order for the
things he wrote in this article, I seriously doubt that there is any
truth in his claim to have forced cyclists into a hedge. He may be a
f*cktard but I don't think he's stupid enough to confess to reckless
endangerment in the national press. Especially not while test-driving a
brand-new car.

My concern is that by taking what he said literally, and asking the
cyclists to get in touch (as opposed to taking the resounding silence as
an indication he was lying through his teeth in order to look tough) the
CTC is merely painting itself as a set of humourless, pedantic beardies.

Anyone who *had* been forced into a hedge by the Z-list TV celeb chef,
about whom the late, great Keith Floyd's assertion that they are all c*nts
most probably holds true, would have been in touch with one of the papers
by now.

In fact, I'm amazed no one has claimed to be one of those spandex
Spider-men, whether he really was or not.

nothing, not even memories to look at in the middle of the night?"
