Hi Mark,
I am on LinkedIn. I am using it to look for a job in editing, writing, web
accessibility or product testing. I was laid off from my job at the American
Foundation for the Blind in July.
LinkedIn is pretty accessible, but you have to go through several levels to
find what you want sometimes. There are actually a good number of blind
people on LinkedIn, and there should be more.

Subject: USBCA OT: Anyone on LinkedIn?
Listers,
Is anyone on this list a member of LinkedIn? For those not familiar with
LinkedIn it's a professional development network, similar in fashion to
social network, but designed to provide professionals a place to network
away from the main-stream MySpace, FaceBook, etc... If anyone is interested
in checking it out the site is at http://www.linkedin.com. It is free and
has helped me in job searches, etc... However, the reason for posting this
here is that we have very little representation as blind and visually
impaired persons on there, and absolutely no representation for the USBCA or
any other BCA that I've seen. This would be a way of showing other
professionals that we exist.
Thank you for your time and sorry for the off-topic post.
Regards,
-Mark
