Greenbelt: Cancellation Policy Reminder

Greetings --
One last hurrah on Topica, cross-posting to Google . . .
The weather is looking pretty sketchy tomorrow. I just wanted to remind
all Greenbelt racers that if we decide to cancel before I need to leave
work (around 3:30), we will post to Google (since I assume the Topica
list will be in mothballs by then).
After that, if you want to know whether the race is on or off, you will
need to call the Route 1 Velo Greenbelt hotline at 301-513-1798. This
gets you a greeting-only answering machine that will tell you the race
status. I will update the greeting once we make a go/no-go decision,
and hope that the weather doesn't force any further change in plans if I
say we're on.
Those of you who have a 202 area code number programmed into your speed
dial for Greenbelt inquiries, please delete it. That is a personal cell
phone and is no longer to be used for race status.
