SYC Sailors winning everywhere  Ewell C. Potts III
 Aug 03, 2005 21:19 PDT

Hey PDDT---A few corrections and additions to the email the other day.
Marc won the North Americans in the BWYC Red Boat, not the Nationals,
Dwight won the J-22 GYA Champs, not GYA Keelboat Champs, And as an
addition---Larry Frost won the GYA Lightning Championship, Guy was
second and my good buddy Eric was 3rd. I guess Eric can't do it without
his ace crew. Decision won the Tammany Yacht Club 25th Anniversary
staggered start race to Slidell, and Stephen Murray with Watt crewing
won the Star Districts in Mobile. Also, John Loe with Schaeffer Dane and
Andrew Eagan were top Americans at the very intl Governor's Cup
qualifying the USA to field a team at the Royal New Zealand Yacht
Squadron Youth Worlds.Larry Taggart with Carrie Berger crewing finished
7th in the same event Marc won. All last weekend---I'm sure someone was
left out, let me know. SYC is not staying at home. Oh, by the way, I
really need some help for saturday morning at SYC. As you know (or maybe
you don't) I'm going to Newport with Andy, Cardwell and Daniel as
skippers and Jeffy, Cameron, Baker, Watt, Stephen and hopefully Julie
Wilson, Andrew and John Loe to sail in the Morgan Cup. Soooooo, I won't
be able to be the weighmaster at the SYC International inshore and
offshore Fishing Rodeo this sat am. I'm sure there is someone on this
list that could help me out. The weighmaster does not have to show up
till say 8 or 8:30 and makes the rules up as he or she goes. I think it
is all over at 12 or so and so is not too big a committment. I hate to
see Miss Kay have to go out there and do this, although she has a lot of
experience catching mullet off the seawall and having the snack bar
personnel cook them up or sell the extras to Mike Smith (Kyle's father)
for 10 cents apiece to be used as offshore bait. Dr Cerise is still
upset that Kay would buy hotdogs at the snackbar and use the dog to
catch mullet. I'm drawing a blank at the moment for the ladys' name in
the snack bar and her assistant to whom I sold my flatboat. If you can
remember , let me know. I can see their faces. Oh, I got it. Wes and
Miss Mary. Not the same Miss Mary as we currently enjoy, but I bet our
current Miss Mary could cook up some mullet too. So someone, please help
me out. A final note---if there is someone that you know is not getting
this spam and wants to, let me know and I'll add their name and if
anyone wants to unsubscribe let me know as well. I'm intending to
communicate this stuff to anyone interested. Gooooooo TEAM, Corky
