Hey PDDT----Great weekend of sailing, at least kinda. Could have used a
little more wind at times, but all in all there were a good bunch of
races (at least 9). Could not resist that, but we should thank Bill and
Hjalmar for all of their efforts over the weekend. Also Karen and
Erston, Jim Wade and Julian, Shawn and Shawn, Chris and Laurie and of
course Bob and Second Cup. There wasn't even too much display of PD in
the PDDT. Only one small outburst from a relative of mine that belongs
to Kay. It was quickly diffused and the show went on. This surely was a
competitive bunch. No slackers and only 13 points separating 1st from
4th with 10 races. The boats held up pretty well, but it was obvious
that the boats were not too equal. We need to start thinking about the
fleet. Now, here it is---Andy Lovell with 39 points, Scotty Sonnier 42,
Cardwell Potts 46.7 and Christian Bambel 52. The alternates are Dwight
Leblanc with 52.2 and Charles and Keith tied with 57 points with Keith
winning the 6th spot on a tiebreaker. I want to personnally thank
everyone involved for what I believed to be most cooperative with boat
rotations and all associated with the logistics of an 11 race round
robin and being on the water all day both days. Hopefully the group will
all be available to tune up and get the boat ready for Lipton's etc.
Please remind all of your crew of the Lipton party on fri evening and
the fact that they all are eligible to be on the TEAM and possibly
chosen to sail in the Lipton's. I'm not sure about Daniel "crunch"
Meade, he broke 2 headstays and one mast in the event to win the award
for breakdown points. Schimbob needed to work overtime in the Protest
Room and on the calculator so we thank him too. Gooooooo TEAM, thanks,
