Subject: Re: possible child predators in area

I don't want to join; I just want to send a warning about two possible child predators that have been
spotted in our neighborhood several times since 17 July, and as recently as yesterday.

Several people have reported seeing this:
1. 2 Hispanic males who appear to be bald or shaved their heads.
2. Driving a pick up truck that might be green, with a matching camper shell.
3. Dark tinted windows.
4. Some sort of plastic hanging over the license so the number can't be read.
5. They asked one child if he "wanted to go to the library with them".
6. Drove very slowly where children were playing, then parked nearby and sat watching until a neighbor
made sure they saw him looking at them.
7. Drove off fast enough so that neighbr couldn't chase them down to get a license number.

These events have happened on Barstow and on Modesto and within Sandia Sunrise; and as far away (that
we know of) as the streets near North Star Elementary School.

I think all residents of Nor Este should be aware of these guys. My neighbor might not have thought
much of the car as it drove slowly through our neighborhood had he not been aware of the first episode
on the 17th; there are many homes for sale so sometimes people drive slowly.

Please get this out to your Nor Este Association people.

Thanks,
Mark
