No VILLAGE CHOICE again this week

Dear Readers,
You may (or may not) have noticed that you did not receive THE VILLAGE
CHOICE last week. I was traveling and unable to put together an issue. I
had hoped to get one out this week, but my personal schedule has once
again prevented me. It is doubtful that we will have an issue next week
either, due to the long Thanksgiving weekend.
Unfortunately, this three-week lull is not an aberration. I have missed
several issues this year due to too many commitments. For that, I
sincerely apologize. Over the first three years of publication, I think
we missed maybe one issue a year. This year, we have missed at least
half a dozen.
I honestly don't see that changing in the near future, as long as THE
VILLAGE CHOICE is under my stewardship. My work life and personal life
have gotten too busy for me to commit to getting this publication out
every week.
At this point, I am seeking someone to take over as editor of THE
VILLAGE CHOICE. It's not a lot of work -- just cobble together some
relevant news bites, event listings and maybe a good rant -- but it does
require a couple of free hours at the end of every week to put it
together. I just don't have that anymore.
If you are interested in taking over as editor of THE VILLAGE CHOICE,
please email me at village-@manhattanlp.org.
If no one steps forward, expect an irregular publishing schedule (at
best) going forward. Sorry.
Regards,
Jim Lesczynski
Editor
THE VILLAGE CHOICE
