Thanks to all: netstat -n did it.
But the DHCP still won't work.
netstat -u tells me that everthing I receive has a wrong check sum (but
there is no package length error).
At least a transfer is definitiv happening.
So I played with the ifconfig parameters but without any change. The
Ethernet card is old (1996)
maybe the protocol has changed and OS/2 Warp 4.0 and/or the card cannot
handle it.
netstat -n says DIX+802.3. On XP I read somewhere 802.11. Is that the
difference? Belongs this
standard to the card itself or to OS/2?
Sorry for the non-VPASCAL subject,
Klaus

Hi,
| | But I have currently a completely different problem:
Can someone tell me where on OS/2 I can find the physical address of my
ethernet card?
Since a week I have a cable modem running. It works
fine with my XP-Laptop and now I try to do the same with Warp4
(DHCP). The
provider needs to know my physical card address because
he cannot see it. It is an older NE2000 derivat (AN16 I believe) and
I have the
'standard' NE2000 driver of Warp4 insalled. Those tell
me nothing like that at boot up. Has anyone a suggestion?

ifconfig lan0
(or other interface number as appropriate)
