INTRODUCTION TO EXCEL

This seminar will cover basic computer fundamentals and the basics of Excel,
as used by water and wastewater treatment plant operators and managers.
Participants will learn the basics of Excel spreadsheets. This is a good
course for operators or managers with little or no experience with
computers.
INTERMEDIATE EXCEL
Date: October 25, 9:00am-3:00pm, VRWA office, Essex
Credit: 5 TCH
Cost: $60
Instructor: Tim Shudt, NY Rural Water
This seminar covers intermediate computer fundamentals specific to operators
and managers of water and wastewater treatment plants. Participants will
learn how to use spreadsheet software to create and interpret complex graphs
dealing with plant treatment; gain hands-on experience in programming
complex calculations and functions that can provide pertinent information in
seconds to water and wastewater operators; use environmental software to
calculate chemical dosages; and receive chemical feed calculation software
for free (valued at $25) when attending this seminar. Prerequisite:
Introduction to Excel course (October 24), or prior knowledge of computers
and Excel.
