eady for signups. Please spread the word widely among your friends,
ssociates, and especially your listserves and clients.
Release is ready to go (see below). We would like to get as broad and diverse
n audience as we can. If we are successful with this first model session,

we hope to expand this to a walkable, livable, community design series (with a multiple set of speakers) in
low-cost series next year. There will be a lot of content in this "opener"
hat everyone should find of significant benefit. One of our goals in attracting many
viewers" is to receive their feedback on what is important to them, so that we
an perfect the content of future webinars.
All right, everyone... on your marks, get set... go!!! (sound of a pop-gun going
ff).

Summary: This interactive session on the walkability, sustainability, health and
conomic vitality of communities will take participants back in time to the era
hen communities were built to be efficient, socially engaging, socially
nteractive, lively, dynamic centers. The towns we now love best, are designed
n similar ways… around healthy, human-scaled environments and transportation
feet, transit and bicycles).
This program will provide a highly visual look at the definition and nature of
mall, medium-sized and large-scale walkable neighborhoods, towns and cities.
Dan will share what he refers to as the "prosperity model" that can help get our
conomy out of its slump, at the neighborhood level, boosting home values 30,000
o 180,000 dollars per property, if neighborhoods are correctly built to honor
own making principles.
These critical principles will be illustrated, enriched with definitive detail
nd wide range of examples. Once a foundation is built for walkabilit
y, using
trategically chosen patterns, measures and techniques, the stage is set for a
ealthy, socially and economically dynamic place. Dan will provide four case
tudies... from small towns, to mall-to-town conversions and discussion of how
he issues are dealt with in larger regional context. These "best case" studies
ill represent all regions of the U.S.
