These classes are designed for lay people, but seminarians are more than welcome to take them for credit.

Personal Spiritual Development for Leadership
(Part 1) (1 unit)
Professor: Stella Ma
Dates and Time: September 3 and 10, 2005 from 9am to 2pm Course Description: This interactive class is for any Christian leader who desires to grow in their devotion and commitment to Christ. The main focus of this class is the understanding of what it means "to grow in Christ likeness". Come prepared to share and learn together. Topics may include personal foundations of spiritual growth, insights on spiritual formation, integration of our faith and our lives, and a personal evaluation of our journey as a Christian and leader. Reading assignment/s required for all students.
Personal Spiritual Development for Leadership
(Part 2) (1 unit)
Professor: Stella Ma
Dates and Time: September 17 and 24, 2005 from 9am to 2pm Course Description: The course will explore the roles and the different forms of spiritual disciplines that are essential for Christian growth and leadership. Personal
Spiritual Development class is required as a pre-requisite. This interactive class is for any Christian leader or believer who wishes to deepen their understanding of spiritual disciplines, explore new spiritual disciplines, and determine the role of their current spiritual disciplines in their walk with God. Topics may include an introduction of the spiritual disciplines, various approaches to prayer, acts of service, solitude and worship, the role of spiritual disciplines in developing Christ-like qualities, the use and misuse of spiritual disciplines, and the practical application of selected spiritual disciplines in our lives. Participation and reading assignment/s required for all students.
