List Name Association of African American Web Developers (AAAWD)
Purpose: A mailing list for the Association of African American Web Developers. Basically for practicing black web developers/designers and matriculating students studying in some aspect of the industry.

While our goal is to promote camaraderie, collaboration, and professional growth among people of color in all phases of web development and design, we are especially interested in those who use their keyboards, not just the mouse. That is to say, we'd like those who are willing to teach, not just learn; and those who are willing to give, not just take. If this describes your profile, please feel free to join us. (NOTE: Completion of the profile form at http://www.aaawd.org/membership.html is required to join. Once received, we will review and process your application).

We also invite you to list your site(s) on Search Black - a search engine for sites carrying African American related content. It is located at: http://www.searchblack.com.

Ideas, perspectives, and suggestions are welcomed.
