1 lg Venison shank bone, cut into 3 pieces
3 lb Venison shank meat
2 ea Beef bouillon cubes
2 ea Bay leaves
1/2 ts Savory
1 tb Peppercorns
1 ea Onion, sliced
x Several celery leaves
2 lb Canned tomatoes
1 md Onion, diced
2 ea Celery ribs, thinly sliced
3 ea Carrots, sliced
3 md Potatoes, diced
1/4 c Chopped parsley
x Salt to taste

Place the shank bone and meat in large pot with enough water to cover the bone and meat. Add bouillon, bay leaves, savory, peppercorns, onion slice and celery leaves. Place over high heat and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for at least 8 hours. Remove meat and bone from the broth. Strain broth to remove bay leaves and vegetables. If there is any fat on top, skim it off. Pour broth back into large pot and add tomatoes, diced onion and sliced celery. Cook for 15 minutes. Add carrots and let cook 10 more minutes. Add potatoes and parsley and let cook 10 more minutes. Add salt to taste. http://www.SailorRandR.com/recipes/
