PART-TIME POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT:
Cuba Project Coordinator
Bildner Center for Western Hemisphere Studies
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Cuba Project Coordinator
reports directly to the Center’s director.
Responsible for administrative/operational
direction of the Cuba Project, in consultation
with the Director of the Center, staff, fellows and advisors.
Coordinates the planning, organization, and
implementation of conferences, seminars and workshops sponsored by the

Center.

Prepares and administers the Project’s budget
and provides financial reports.
Helps write and develop proposals/fundraising
efforts and prepare reports for sponsors.
Helps develop research and other initiatives
that reflect up-to-date scholarship and utilize
innovative techniques consistent with the
Center and Project’s overall mission.
PREFERRED SKILLS: Bilingual (English/Spanish).
B.A. and 2 years experience required, M.A.
preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills
necessary. Experience in managing grants and
budgets required. Experience in wordprocessing,
spreadsheet and database
management. Acquaintance with Cuban studies.
Experience with conferences, workshops, and
special events. Flexible hours, may require
some evenings and weekends. This is a part-time position (15-19

hours/week).
