International Development is a challenging yet rewarding career. Entry level
positions offer endless opportunities to learn more about yourself and the
world, but few of these positions are available, making it extremely
competitive to get your foot in the door. Seeking a way to encourage more
people to pursue a career in Development, FSD Founder Alicia Robb
established FSD’s Intern and Volunteer
Programs<http://www.fsdinternational.org/intlopps/programs/internships/programreview>as
a gateway for passionate individuals to gain access to the field
through
practical, hands-on experience. Fourteen years after Alicia launched her
first site in Nicaragua, FSD has grown into an organization of 300 community
partners spread throughout ten sites in six countries. Since its inception,
FSD has worked with over 1,000 dedicated individuals, providing them with
the necessary training and connections required to build a career in
International Development.

FSD’s AlumniConnect program helps you to achieve your professional goals.
Alumni have gone on to win Rhodes, Fulbrights and other merit-based
scholarships, study at prestigious graduate schools, work for prominent
international development organizations, and even start their own grassroots
organizations.
