3 Steps to Faith

The more I discover about FAITH the more I get excited
about it and want to share everything that I learn with
you. I am drawn to wanting to help you actually develop
your faith to the point where you too, just like Jesus,
could walk on water. That is possible, you know. The only
reason Jesus could walk on water is because He had incredible
faith. That’s the kind of faith I want to have one day
and I want you to have it too. The kind of faith that
will allow me and you to easily-- without doubt-- walk on water.
Can you imagine how incredible your life would be if you
developed the Jesus kind of faith?
Boy, I could see me now—got my little business suit on,
hair and nails all done, walking on water in a pair of
Nine West high heel pumps. And thinking nothing of it
because my faith is so strong and so powerful.
OK, here’s a big announcement. I know that I am known for
helping people discover their life’s purpose and incorporating
it into their career. But I believe it goes a lot deeper
than that. I have helped people discover their purpose
and when I check back with them a year or so later very
few of them actually stick with it. When I ask why, they
always have some excuse which always boiled down that they
didn’t have enough faith in it. They would rather get
something safe so they could make sure they receive a paycheck
every week, no matter how small the paycheck might be, and
no matter how boring the job may be. Or they say they didn’t
have the time to focus on it since they were working their
normal job and before they knew it they weren’t thinking
about it all. This all boils down to the same thing—lack of
faith in their abilities.
But I know that with God all things are possible. And I
also know that the way in which God operates is through
Faith. So, from now on, I will be focusing on helping you
develop your faith. I will also be reconstructing my web
site to reflect the fact that without faith it is impossible
to please God.
There are three basic steps in developing faith—just three.
Actually, when you read the steps to developing faith I’m
sure you will think to yourself, “this is pretty simple”.
Yeah, I agree with you. The steps are pretty simple. It’s
the putting them into practice where the hard part comes in.
Here’s the simple steps:
1. Know what you want (exactly).
2. Find your situation in the bible and know what Jesus says
about your situation.
3. Confess the word (what the bible says on your subject), out loud,
until you believe it.
Those are the basic, simple steps.
Now comes the hard part. Changing Your Beliefs.
Remember a while back I told you that we each have a conscious,
subconscious and a superconscious? Well, you have beliefs
that are embedded into your subconscious mind that are deep
rooted and it is hard for you to let go of those belief.
For example, let’s say that you are broke. You’re always
broke. And when you check your bank account it is always
in the negative or close to it. So, you have the belief
that you are poor and unless you hit the lottery one day,
you don’t see how you are going to be anything but po’
(po’ is even poorer than poor).
So, you go to the scripture and find out what the bible
says about your poverty. In 2 Corinthians 8:9 it says:
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that
though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor,
so that you through his poverty might become rich.
What this means is that you are already rich. Now I know
in the natural or by worldly standards, you BELIEVE that
you are not rich. But if you can get this verse and repeat
it to yourself over and over and over again, until you
realize that it is by the GRACE of Jesus Christ that you
are already rich, you will start to see a difference in
your finances because all things are possible for those
who believe.
You have to KNOW in your heart of hearts that God does
not lie—He can’t lie. So if he says you are rich—then
doggoneit you are RICH. The only person you have to
convince is yourself.
It’s the same as affirmations. You repeat them over and
over until they become embedded into your subconscious mind.
Here’s another important part—create a vision of you
being rich. Just spend time during the day confessing
the scripture (or you can make up something that is
your own that feels more real to you) and repeat it
over and over again. After you do that, sit quietly
and SEE through your mind’s eye, you being rich.
Just follow these steps over and over and over until
they become real to you.
Now, I must warn you—once you start doing this—the
devil, who is a liar, will immediately come and try
to steal your joy. You will start getting all types
of thoughts that contradict what the bible says.
Things will start happening that will cause you to
feel the strain of your finances. Your job is to STOP
those thoughts. How do you stop them? By saying,
My God does not lie. For I know the grace of my
Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for
my sake, he became poor, so that I though his poverty
might become rich.
You might see results right away. I know some people
who have seem immediate results. Or, it might take
some time—depending on how deep rooted your beliefs
are that contradict what the bible says. But the key
is to NEVER GIVE UP.
Also, you must ALWAYS be conscious of your words and
your thoughts. Don’t let any words that contradict what
the bible says, come out of your mouth.
Don’t go around announcing to everybody who will listen,
“Girl, I’m broke. I’m so broke I can’t even pay attention.’
NOOOO. Stop that mess. Every time your speak words that are
contradictory to what the bible says about your finances,
you are reversing the whole process. See, God knows your
heart and he gives to you what is really in your heart.
So, what we are trying to do is change the HEART. Get
the heart to believe that what the bible says is true
and you can have the riches that were freely given to
you, by grace, through Jesus Christ.
Now, I’ve gave you the knowledge of what you have to do.
It won’t work if you just read this email and then think
that you’re automatically entitled to riches. Naw, don’t
work that way. You have to DO what it says. Make it a
practice in your every day life. Make the conscious decision
that you will immediately stop all contradictory thoughts
that come to you stating otherwise. And don’t just do this
for five minutes a day and expect something to happen.
Spend at LEAST an hour a day. Or better yet, do it every
time you think about it. When you wake up in the morning,
while you are in the shower, when your cooking breakfast,
your ride into work, any time you find yourself, by yourself.
The more you make it a part of your every day life,
the quicker you will see the results.
If you do this enough—you will be able to join me as we
walk on water. We could be holding hands, dressed to impress,
walking on water. Ah, man, I can see it now. And boy is
that’s cool.
